Orange

Orange came into my life in November 2019.
Before that, she lived at a temple on Koh Samui, but had been taken to the local shelter for treatment of TVT – a common tumor disease in dogs across Asia.

She wasn’t vaccinated, and in the overcrowded shelter, she sadly contracted distemper. It caused severe brain damage and a complete neurological shutdown.

I trained her for weeks – and she learned to walk again. In her own special way.

 

In September 2021, Orange moved into the MDHF House.
She lived in her own big world, without suspicion or fear, always funny, full of joy, and with the cutest little tics.
Her head was full of flowers and butterflies.

 

Orange passed away peacefully in my arms on 18 June 2025.
