I am Pippilotta
Sybille and her friend found me in September 2024.
I was lying in the dirt beside a road, unable to move. I had been there for two days. The people nearby didn’t know what had happened or what to do.
I’m a girl, and I was not even four months old at the time. I had probably suffered a severe blow to the head.
When they picked me up, I was terrified and screamed loudly. Sybille didn’t know if I would survive because I was so weak.
But she gave me all her love. After five days, I grew calmer, and little by little I began to feel better. I lifted my head and ate for the very first time.
And that’s when everything began.
Very gently, Sybille started moving my legs. They were stiff and unresponsive. But every single day she worked with them. She stood me up again and again. She massaged me, gave me acupuncture, and held me in her arms for endless hours.
And then, suddenly, I felt life returning to my body.
For the first time, I shakily pushed myself up on my own. Then I took a few wobbly little steps behind Sybille. It didn’t take long — and I was completely healthy again. A playful, happy little girl full of joy.
Sybille found a home for me in Northern Ireland, very far away.
Now I live with Julia and her family. Sometimes I miss Sybille and my best friend Grace. But the life I have here couldn’t be more beautiful.
